Around And Around

Animals. This tune is quite a bit hotter than that 1966 version. All instruments played or programmed by C.Foss. Vocal by C.Foss. Recorded in Denver, CO., 1990, Les Paul Studio Lite, Guild bass, Roland R-5, Tascam 246.

Choo-Choo-Cha-Boogie

This is an old Louie Prima tune, very boogie-woogie.
I wanted to try out some virtual horn sounds and thought this would be a good place to put a sax and trumpet track. Recorded using a modified Korean-made Strat, (with DiMarzio pickups). All other instrumet voices were generated by soft-synths and a Yamaha SY77. Recorded using Cakewalk Sonar, Jammer and Sound Forge. After the music tracks were finished, I realized the key was a little too low. But, rather than re-do the whole thing, I just sang it the best I could.
What do you want for nothing?

Cheap Guitar Blues

A friend of mine had purchased a made-in-Japan, Strat-copy, and brought it to me to see what I thought. I set up a simple drum track and played a few minutes of bass lines on a Fender Precision with an active EMG pickup. After that, I plugged in his guitar and jammed along.with my previous tracks. One take. He was happy.
